| Gann and
Fibonacci lines and curves are trend systems used by ultra specialist
analysts.
Various claims have been made for several direction indicators such as Wells Wilder's ADX system. This is a
practical course and I have not dealt with them as there are far simpler
methods of trend analysis. |
Most
commercial chart software has over 100 indicators. Many of these are
simply clones of the more common indicators covered in the course.
Others are based on US data that is not available from the JSE such as up and down volume and daily sector advance decline data. I have focused on the in-depth appreciation of the characteristics of the more common indicators and oscillators. |
